DIY amp – Fender Princeton Reverb

Ever since I got interested in tube guitar amp building, the Princeton Reverb from Fender was somewhat of an ultimate goal.

Beautiful tremolo and spring reverb in a Blackface combo, what more can you ask for? It also has the major advantage of weighing much less than my Fender Blues Deluxe, and has before my de facto touring amp with Satarma.

The Uraltone kit is of very high quality, well documented and easy to build. The only modification I added to the circuit is the ground scheme recommended by Rob Robinette.

The cabinet is in 19mm pine, with glued box joints. To complete the sober esthetic of the Blackface panel and the Oxblood grill cloth, I chose a black laquer for the cabinet and mahogany accents on the back panels.
