I had already made the mistake of repainting this bike in the past (my first road bike), but this time I have had the time to learn a lot in the meantime, and this finish will hold!
For this 2nd restoration on this same bike, a MBK Mirage equiped with an infamous but perfectly functional Shimano Biopace, I also changed the headset cups and bearings. The original cups were partly made of plastic and very worn, one had even split in two…
The bike is now finally in a perfectly functional state, much easier to clean and to care for. The new headset was also a much needed replacement and it turns much more smoothly now.
